Ferrum Set to Host Crooked Road Classic

FERRUM, Va. – Ferrum College's football team will host the 3rd Annual Crooked Road Classic Saturday, Sept. 1, on campus, pitting the Panthers against in-state rival Emory & Henry College.

Ferrum used a fourth-quarter rally to nip the Wasps in 2016, posting four consecutive two-point conversions to eke out a 39-38 win at W.B. Adams Stadium. The Panthers then scored a touchdown with under a minute remaining in last year's Crooked Road Classic at Emory & Henry to escape with a 13-8 win.

This year's game is the first official Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest for a Ferrum team, and the 39th football meeting between the two schools. The Ferrum-E&H series is the second-longest in the Panthers 64-year football history.
