Wilson Beats Ferrum 3-0 in Field Hockey

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Ferrum College dropped a 3-0 non-conference field hockey game on the road this afternoon to Wilson College.

THE BASICS
Breeann Sheaffer started things off for the Phoenix with an unassisted goal at 21:34. Michaela Singer made it a 2-0 game seven minutes into the third quarter with an unassisted goal.

Singer, who led the team with five shots, then tallied her second goal of the afternoon at 57:41 for the final count, this time with an assist from Sheaffer.

Ferrum goalkeeper Mia Holmes played all 60 minutes in net for the Panthers with nine saves. Starting GK Krista Nayadley (54 min) and backup Allyson Shindler (6 min) combined for the shutout in net for Wilson. The Phoenix out-shot Ferrum 15-0 for the game.
