Marlins Stop Ferrum 4-0 in ODAC Field Hockey

FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference field hockey game to Virginia Wesleyan University tonight at home, falling 4-0 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Virginia Wesleyan (4-8, 1-1 ODAC)
Ferrum (2-10, 0-3 ODAC)

Cori Jackson scored the game's first goal just 34 seconds in to spot Virginia Wesleyan with the early lead. Julie Fassl scored the first of her three goals at the 3:07 mark.

Fassl would later notch goals at 5:27 and 48:03. Elizabeth Roberto notched a pair of assists for VWU.

Goalkeeper Mia Holmes played all 60 minutes in net for the Panthers, making 13 saves.

Coach Carrie Hanshue Austin's team will be back in action on Thursday, October 17, at Eastern Mennonite University. The ODAC game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
