HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Eastern Mennonite University beat Ferrum College this afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference field hockey play, posting a 7-0 shutout at EMU Turf Field.

Following a scoreless first quarter, Skylar Hedgepeth scored back-to-back goals in the 23rd and 26th minutes of play to spot the Royals with a 2-0 halftime lead.
Madeline Mast made it a 3-0 game one minute into the third quarter, the Juliana Ghally punched goals in for EMU in the 33rd and 40th minute to widen the lead to 5-0.
Morgan Tricarico and Brandy Troutman added goals in the 45th and 56th minutes to close out scoring. Starting goalkeeper Ann Ghally played 45 minutes in net to earn the win, and Arianna Nixon played the final 15 minutes. Neither plyer recorded a saves.
Goalkeeper Mia Holmes played all 60 minutes in net with 13 saves for Ferrum.
