LEXINGTON, Va. -- #2 seed Washington and Lee University beat #7 Ferrum College 4-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament this afternoon at Watt Field.

Emily Leding, Sydney von Rosenberg and Laney Smith spotted Washington and Lee a 3-0 halftime lead. Grace Wielechowski closed out scoring with a second-half goal as the Generals opened the ODAC Tournament with a resounding win.
Goalkeeper Taylor Dodson played all 90 minutes in net for the Panthers with 13 saves. Jasmine Furin did the same for W&L without making a save due to the Generals' 35-0 shot advantage.
The game closed out the season for Ferrum, and the career of four graduating seniors; Frances Best, Miranda Dougherty, Dodson and Kayla Lentini. Ferrum has 20 other players eligible to return for the 2020 season.
W&L advanced to the ODAC Tournament semifinals and will face #3 seed Virginia Wesleyan University Saturday, November 9, at 3:00 p.m. in Ashland, Virginia.
Saturday's other semifinal will pit #1 seed and host Randolph-Macon College against #4 seed Bridgewater College at 1:00 p.m. The title game is set for Sunday, November 10, at 3:00 p.m. in Ashland.
