Volleyball Hosts ODAC Tri-Meet

FERRUM, Virginia – Ferrum College dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference volleyball matches this afternoon at home, falling 3-0 to Roanoke College and 3-0 to Randolph-Macon College. Roanoke and Randolph-Macon also played a neutral site match, with the Yellow Jackets winning 3-0. The ODAC tri-meet was held at Ferrum's Swartz Gym.

In the first match of the day, Linsey Bailey had 19 kills to lead the Maroons past Ferrum. Logan Pasley had 22 assists, Telia Harris had 10 kills and Kennedy Clemmer had 13 digs. Ferrum got 12 assists from Ashley Roberts, 10 digs from Kayla Divers and six kills from Molly Patterson.

In the final match of the day, Randolph-Macon, the top rated ODAC team, came out firing in posting the three-set win to remain undefeated in league play. Grace Parker posted 10 kills to pace the Yellow Jackets, Emily Steffan had 11 assists and Kristina Smith has 12 digs. Arielle Tritt had nine assists for the Panthers, and Roberts had seven assists.

Coach Ruthanne Duffy's team will be back in action Wednesday, October 23, at Bridgewater College. The ODAC match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start in Bridgewater, Virginia.
